01.Who we are

Balkanwise is run by Laëtitia and Sergej, who live in Serbia. If you have any question about your details, write to us at [email protected].

02.What we collect

When you fill in the questionnaire, we receive your first name, your email address and your answers. When you click “Show me the rest”, we already receive the answers you have given so far, so we can write to you even if you don’t finish.

If you email us, we receive your message and your email address. To stop spam, the questionnaire keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for one hour.

03.Why we use it

To answer you, to plan and organise your trip, and to stay in touch about it. We only send you news from Balkanwise if you ticked the box for it, and you can stop it at any time.

04.Where it is kept and who sees it

Your answers arrive by email in our mailbox, and a copy is kept in a private file on our web hosting (webhostingsrbija.rs). Only the two of us read them.

The website runs through Cloudflare, which protects it and keeps it fast. Like any website service, it sees technical information such as your IP address.

We don’t share your details with anyone else, except what is needed to book something for your trip (for example your name for a place to stay), and only when you have asked us to.

05.Cookies

We don’t use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we don’t use visitor statistics tools. Cloudflare may set a small cookie that is needed for security.

06.How long we keep it

As long as we need it to plan your trip and stay in touch with you about it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

07.Your rights

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or tell us to stop writing to you. Just email [email protected] and we’ll do it.
